What Is The Function Of Ribosomes
|
Ribosome is an organell within the cell. The cell is the smallest unit of life. All basic things derive their source from the cell. In Science the organizations of life are divided into various stages or level. the cell falls into the category that is most important and also very small. Basically the definition of the cell is this: the cell is the smallest unit of life. There are life forms that exist in the celluar state, these are referred to as single cell organism. Humans do not fall into this category; we fall into a category that is known as multicelluar organism. From the word multiple cells comes the name multicelluar organism. Organisms that have a lot of cells. The cell consists of many organells which includes the mitochodrion, ribosome, cell membrane and many others. Basically the call can be divided into two parts which is the cytoplasm and the nucleus. This two together is called the protoplasm. The protoplasm is protected by a membrane known as the cell membrane. The function of the cell membrane is to monitor the movement of materials in and out of the cell. There are so many organells within the cell and each one of them have their specific function. What is the function of ribosomes? Like every other organell in the cell, the first thing that should be considered is the structure of the organell in question. The structure will jelp to idicate the function of the organell. In the case of the Ribosome, the primarily duty it does is for the synthesis of protein. For those of us that are of the habit of taking legumes - proteinous plant - it is the ribosome that performs the main function of synthesis it into useful materials for the body.
Aside from asking the question what is the function of ribosomes, we can also concern ourself with the anotherimportant part of the cell which is the mitochodrian. This is generally known as the power house of the cell. this is because the oxidation of food takes places solely as a result of the presence of this organell.
Despite the importance of this partof the cell, it is mising in the redblood cell. The reason for this is because the redblood cell does require to breakdown the food. It transports the already broken down food across the body.
In the organisation of life, when we have cells coming together to form a organism, we speak of tissue, and tissue come together to form organ, organs come together to form system. |
